Almería, Eden under the sea
The waters of the province of Almería conceal an underwater world of sublime richness. Off its coast, the Mediterranean marine life meets the Atlantic species of all kinds that live together in a spectacular amalgam of biodiversity, undoubtedly fed by the reserves and nature parks in the province. Lobsters, sunfish, rays, pollock and, if we are lucky, the odd visits from turtles, tunas and dolphins, make the enclave a magnificent spot for divers all year round. Can you imagine going into the water in the sun and looking back over your shoulder at the snowy peaks of the Sierra de Gádor? On the Almeria coast you can. BENIDORM, THE CITY OF A THOUSAND FACES
Spain is a country of clichés and one of the most widespread is the one that affects Benidorm. This most cosmopolitan resort town has seen its name reduced to senior citizen trips and a simplistic kitsch cult image. But is this reputation justified? Under the skyscrapers of this Mediterranean city is a buzz as heterogeneous as any other city. There are many Benidorms to know and one of them has a young heart. The Sierra Helada is perched on the Mediterranean with gorges of up to three hundred metres. It is the ideal place for hiking and enjoying its hanging fossil dune or the exceptional flora that has earned it its declaration as a Natural Park. But the best secrets -
