A Galician is one who cares for and loves Galicia, even though they have been born somewhere else.

Which place in Galicia has the most handsome men and the prettiest women?

The handsome people are spread all around Galicia, but I have seen that there are a lot of us in the Rías Bajas. ;-)

Where are the most beautiful animals? Which are they?

In the sea, what we call golfiños, they are like dolphins. If you are lucky they follow you while you sail, and on the table, barnacles. You don't know how much beauty there is in a kilo of barnacles as fat as thumbs!

What is your favourite Galician dish?

I am not very original, good shellfish. I have a special liking for santiaguiño lobsters (a crustacean with exquisite flesh and difficult to find. You only find it in Galician waters and it is only caught in the last months of the year).

What would you export from Galicia to the rest of the world?

Now you're expecting me to say something good, but the intelligent thing would be to send all of the rabble away and just keep the people and things that are worthwhile: the sea, Albariño wine and the good food, the countryside, the beach, the peace...

Galician music other than the bagpipes?

The Rolling Stones. Aren't they from Galicia? Tell Jagger to call me and we'll sort it out. It would be lovely to hear them sing "Miña terra galega" -the version that the "Siniestro total" group from Vigo made of the classic "Sweet Home Alabama"-.

Do meigas (Galician witches according to legend) exist or is it all made up?

Yes they exist, and Santa Claus and quality television too, but nobody has seen it.

What is the best profession you can have to live in Galicia?

Proprietor. Generally that. Maybe it's not strictly an occupation, but it must be really gratifying to be a proprietor in Galicia. You live very well with very little, and if you have a lot it must be fantastic!

The sexiest moment you have had in Galicia?

Going out to sail on a workday, reaching the Cíes Isles and seeing that there is nobody there, I'm not sure if that is sexy, but it's incredibly pleasant.
